*MORE THAN 1 MILLION AMERICANS TRAVELED VIA PLANE THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING:
More than a million Americans traveled via plane on the day before Thanksgiving — the highest number since the COVID-19 pandemic exploded in March, new statistics show. Figures released by the Transportation Security Administration show that 1,070,967 travelers went through US screening checkpoints Wednesday, down from 2,624,250 in 2019. The one-day total is the highest recorded by the TSA since March 16, but still a 59 percent decrease from last year. Public health experts and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention had urged people to scrap their Turkey Day travel plans due to rising infection rates across the country.
The TSA also screened more than 1 million passengers on Sunday and Friday. Prior to that, the last time the agency eclipsed that mark was on Oct. 18, when 1,031,505 went through airports, statistics show. In total, almost 6 million passengers were screened at airports from Friday through Wednesday, TSA data shows. A forecast by AAA and HIS Markit predicted earlier this month that Thanksgiving travel would be on the “lighter side,” with 50 million Americans expected to hit the roads and get on planes — or at least a 10-percent drop overall, marking the largest one-year decline since 2008.

Rat school is in session as fed-up New Yorkers try to learn how to deal with a surging rodent population. Rats as big as bunnies are roaming the streets in broad daylight, nesting in trees and chewing through car engine wires that can cost thousands to fix. And there are so many that residents are kvetching about them every chance they get — 311 hotline complaints about rats have totaled 12,632 so far this year — a third more than the 9,042 for all of 2019. With the Upper West Side teeming with the hungry critters, Assemblywoman Linda Rosenthal and the city Health Department sponsored the latest incarnation of “Rat Academy,” two hours of rat prevention training livestreamed Tuesday to nearly four dozen supers, tenants and homeowners. The city began such training sessions about 10 years ago. Gail Dubov, president of the West 83rd Street Block Association, has a “Ph.D in Rat Academy” from sitting in on a couple of sessions, including Tuesday’s. “Rats are devious,” she pronounced with authority, “and they’re smart.” Dozens who belong to Upper West Siders for Safer Streets have posted their gargantuan vermin sightings on Facebook, including Melanie Sloan, whose daughter is Scarlett Johansson.
“Central Park is overrun with huge fat rats,” Sloan wrote. “I saw a man on a bench in the rambles swatting them unsuccessfully with a rake.” Not a day goes by that Amanda Levine doesn’t see at least one rat. She sprays her Jeep Grand Cherokee with a cocktail of cinnamon and mint oils and water — under the hood and on all four wheel bearings — to ward off the critters. In her apartment complex, at 107th Street between Amsterdam and Broadway, her neighbors tell her they hear scratching behind the walls. Levine ticks off four reasons why she thinks rats have invaded the UWS: outdoor dining, more homeless New Yorkers, shoddy street cleaning and the biggest — trash not being picked up often enough, both from the cans on sidewalk corners and the stacks of bags hauled to the curb by building supers.
The Department of Sanitation is responsible for both street cleaning and garbage collection. Spokesman Joshua Goodman told The Post that DSNY is committed to keeping the city clean and reducing the rat population. “Only when residents, businesses, and the City work together can we address a problem that is as old and as persistent as the City of New York itself,” Goodman said. As far as Levine is concerned, the only one to blame is Mayor de Blasio. Not in the 20 years she has lived on the block have rats been so thick. She is convinced that Hizzoner wants to do away with the Sanitation Department: “He’s a f–king waste. He’s turned this city into a s—hole.”
*MEGYN KELLY IS DITCHING NYC AFTER SCHOOL PROMOTES REFORMING ‘WHITE KIDS’, SAYS FUTURE ‘KILLER COP’ IN ‘ EVERY CLASSROOM’:
Independent journalist Megyn Kelly is pulling her children out of school and leaving New York City after her boys’ school promoted a call to “reform white children” and accused white people of “reveling in their state-sanctioned depravity” and slaughtering black people. Kelly, who founded Devil May Care Media, revealed a letter that her boys’ school administrators circulated among parents and faculty during an episode of her podcast, “The Megyn Kelly Show,” on Monday. Kelly said that she and her husband were pulling their children out of school and leaving New York City over the “out of control” racial social justice agenda in the city’s schools. “It’s out of control on so many levels, and after years of resisting it, we’re going to leave the city. We pulled our boys from their school and our daughter is going to be leaving hers soon, too,” Kelly said. “The schools have always been far-left, which doesn’t align with my own ideology, but I didn’t really care. Most of my friends are liberals, it’s fine. I come from Democrats as a family.”
“I’m not offended at all by the ideology and I lean center-left on some things, but they’ve gone around the bend. I mean they have gone off the deep-end.,” she continued. “This summer in the wake of George Floyd, they circulated amongst the diversity group – which includes white parents like us, there are people who want to be allies and stay attuned to what we can do – an article, and afterward they recirculated it and wanted every member of the faculty to read it.” Kelly said the letter was written by Nahliah Webber, the executive director of Orleans Public Education Network, and the host then reads excerpts from the letter that asserts that white children in the United States are indoctrinated racists. Webber’s letter appears to be a version of a blog post Webber wrote for Education Post in June. Kelly then read excerpts of the letter circulated at her boys’ school. The letter, according to Kelly, says:
There is a killer cop sitting in every school where white children learn. They gleefully soak in their whitewashed history that downplays the holocaust of indigenous native peoples and Africans in the Americas. They happily believe their all-white spaces exist as a matter of personal effort and willingly use violence against black bodies to keep those spaces white.
As black bodies drop like flies around us by violence at white hands, how can we in any of our minds conclude that whites are alright? White children are left unchecked and unbothered in their schools, homes, and communities to join, advance, and protect systems that take away black life. I am tired of white people reveling in their state-sanctioned depravity, snuffing out black life with no consequences.
Where’s the urgency for school reform for white kids being indoctrinated in black death and protected from the consequences? Where are the government-sponsored reports looking into how white mothers are raising culturally deprived children who think black death is okay? Where are the national conferences, white papers and policy positions on the pathology of whiteness in schools? This time if you really want to make a difference in black lives — and not have to protest this shit again — go reform white kids. Because that’s where the problem is — with white children being raised from infancy to violate black bodies with no remorse or accountability.
*BLM FOUNDERS DEMAND JOE BIDEN SUPPORT A ‘ROADMAP’ TO ABOLITION OF POLICE, PRISONS:
Despite indications that the “Defund the Police” movement had a negative impact on Democrats’ election success, leaders of Black Lives Matter are petitioning for a meeting with an incoming Joe Biden-Kamala Harris administration, and demanding that Biden support the “BREATHE Act,” which includes a “roadmap’ to abolishing law enforcement and a demand for reparations.The Act, which BLM touts as “a radical reimagining of public safety, community care, and how we spend money as a society,” is its central legislative effort and represents a list of demands that align only with the aims of far-left legislators. But, Fox News reports that BLM’s founders, including self-identified Marxist Patrisse Cullors and their “Squad” allies in Congress — notably Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) — are pressing for the BREATHE Act to pass Congress and receive a rubber stamp from any Biden White House.“Black Lives Matter activists are pressuring Democrats to embrace the BREATHE Act, which includes a section requiring a ‘roadmap for prison abolition.’” the outlet reports Sunday.
“Cullors, who has written a letter to President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris requesting a meeting, told The Hollywood Reporter she is requesting that the new administration work to pass the BREATHE Act within the first 100 days,” Fox notes. Although the report only notes a “summary” of the BREATHE Act’s, the Act’s campaign website notes that it includes a full divestment of “federal resources” from law enforcement — defunding the police and immigration enforcement on a federal level — and ending incarceration, a priority that also includes the “full decarceration of federal detention facilities within 10 years and enacts a moratorium on all new federal prison, jail, immigrant and youth detention construction.” The act suggests that any money saved by not enforcing the country’s criminal laws be rerouted to minority communities to address income inequality and other progressive pet issues. Cullors penned an op-ed for “Teen Vogue” last week that makes it clear that she not only expects the Biden administration to pass the BREATHE Act, she believes Joe Biden and Kamala Harris should use the legislation as a means of “repaying” support from the black community.

A journalist who tested Nevada’s signature verification process for mail-in ballots found that the state is wide open for fraud. Columnist Victor Joecks of the Las Vegas Review-Journal conducted his experiment noting that the issue is deeper than any single contest. “Leave aside the presidential race. Even small amounts of fraud can swing results,” he wrote, pointing to a race where a state senator won an election by 24 votes. Joecks said in his piece Thursday that he proved a voter could vote many times. “Clark County election officials accepted my signature on eight ballot return envelopes during the general election. It’s more evidence that signature verification is a flawed security measure,” he wrote, saying the assurances from elections officials that the process was secure were so much puffery.

Doctor’s offices have felt the squeeze of the COVID-19 pandemic as more than 16,000 practices across the country have been forced to close due to safety concerns, fewer patient visits and other challenges, according to a report. Dr. Kelly McGregory, 49, said she made the difficult decision in August to close her pediatric practice just outside Minneapolis. “It was devastating. That was my baby,” she said.McGregory said that as a newer practice without access to stockpiles of personal protective equipment, she had feared at times that she wouldn’t be able to keep her staff safe.
“As an independent practice with no real connection to a big health system, it was awful,” she said, noting that at one point she only had three surgical masks left for the office. There also was not enough business provided through virtual patient visits, she said. “I did some telemedicine, but it wasn’t enough volume to really replace what I was doing in the clinic,” she said.
